A bizarre weather year we have had this year. Good early and late season riding here with nothing but cold and minimal snow in between. East coast cities received the snow we wanted here in WNY. News reports said in some way all 50 states received snow this season, many areas such as Tug Hill were way down on snow this year. I hope everyone has had there fill and got a chance to get out enough this winter. This was the first winter in years I have to trailer to ride quite a few times; I guess living in the Snow Belt of WNY for 45 years spoils some of us.

The grooming here in WNY was great while the snow was here, lots of compliments on trails and grooming in general, great job guys! The clubs around our riding area have come a long way from what we used to be. It’s hard to believe the miles you can log on in a day and never leave the area. Those of us who remember the years gone by when the moguls were there all winter until the snow melted, the only groomers were either in the Adirondacks or Canada.

Our pancake breakfast will be held Sunday March 28 from 7:30am till 1:00pm at the Strykersville fire hall. Set up for the breakfast will take place Saturday March 27 at 9:00am. We need help both days to make this event a success. Please try to take some time to help us out, if you need more info call me at 716.866.1398. Hope to see you there!

Tickets for our NASCAR raffle were sent out in the last newsletter. If you haven’t received any yet or would like to purchase some, please call Larry Green at 585.708.4108 and he see that you get them. This is our major raffle for the year folks so do the best you can in selling them too!
The governor is once again trying to raid our funds to offset our states mismanagement! NYSSA IS calling on all club members throughout the state to send, fax or email letters to your state legislators. Sample letters and more info are available on the NYSSA link below I have posted for more info. If you would like more info on this please contact me. Take a couple minutes and send the letters, let these people in Albany know what we think! If you would like more info on this please contact me.

The NYSSA Annual Forum and annual meeting will be held in Liverpool NY this year Friday April 16 to Sunday April 18. There is more info on the NYSSA website or at the March Meeting. Anyone interested in attending this year please contact me.

That’s about it for now, I hope all is well and I see many of you at the monthly meeting at Byrncliff Tuesday March 16.
